Success!-Sask in motion’s Dance Flash Mob ft. YBCS

Saskatchewan in motion in partnership with the Youth Ballet and Contemporary Dance of Saskatchewan pulled of a deadly flash mob! With over 200 dancers and a huge crowd, even the most confused spectators walked away smiling. We went out there to show how much fun being active, moving around, and just enjoing the feeling you get from being physically active can be.

Active Transportation Flash Mob!

On Tuesday (Aug 24th) Saskatchewan in motion (SIM) staffers met up with an eager group of people power enthusiasts for an active transportation flash mob.

It was the second flash mob I was involved with organizing for Sask in motion. We took an entirely different approach with this one, different concept, recruitment plan, filming strategy; the only thing that was similar was location.

Canada Gets an F for Physical Activity -2010 Active Healthy Kids Canada Report Card

Recently Active Healthy Kids Canada released the 2010 National Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth. For the fourth year running as a nation we receive an F for Physical Activity. The Saskatchewan specific page doesn’t look much better. As a province we’re sitting at 13% of kids getting their 90 minutes/day of physical activity.
